Moments with Maddie

No real purpose or big event for these photos. Just some fun, daily moments to share with you. Ok, that's not really true. A couple of the photos show Maddie eating her first solid food. That's a big moment! Especially because she loved it so much and lapped up every last little bit while flapping her arms in pure delight the entire time. Very fun! Oh, and another one shows her first ride on the MAX train here in Portland. Also very fun! She was wide-eyed but appeared quite content all snuggled in her stroller.

Yay for Maddie pictures! And look at that hair!!! Kurt, I'm sorry to say- I think she's got it from Kim... :)

Ha! I think it's safe to say that we're all glad she's got Kim's hair :)

Here's to hoping she doesn't get teeth, though. At least then I'd still be a good 30 years out until she gets a date. I fear for the worst: a full set of beautiful, always brushed and flossed, shiny little chompers. Hee heee! Cute.

How sweet! Is her hair red or is it just the glow from her fantabulous outfit??

She's getting way too big! I can't believe her hair! Make her stop growing until June when I'm home for good!! No giraffes in Uganda by the way...who knew. But I appreciate her giraffe ride in my honor none-the-less. She does have lots of monkeys though...and apparently chimps and gorillas are the main attraction here. Well anyway...kiss her for me! Can't wait to see you guys!

hey catherine! yes, in fact, she does have a reddish tint to her hair, isn't that wild? kurt's grandpa had red hair and if kurt lets his facial hair grow it's red as well. when it's just been washed and she's in natural light, it REALLY looks red. so cute! good to hear from you! hope all is well with you and your intern year isn't too stressful for you! i'm sure you are FABULOUS with all those kiddos :)

Hey Kim, It's taken way too long to respond to your note! I'm surviving!! I have to tell you this website is great during call when I want to peek at the life of a normal, beautiful little girl when I'm in the middle of one too many sick kids. Thanks for a little bit of sanity and sharing your family! :)
